About Linda Hedberg
I’m passionate about encouraging Christians – those who are called – to enter into the coaching profession and thrive in business and ministry. In 2006, I realized I was spending a lot of time talking on the phone, sharing with Christians about the profession of coaching. I decided to create this website and blog to pass along resources for those needing key information that could significantly affect the course of their career or ministry.
As a life and leadership coach, I help those asking “what’s next for me?” discover and activate greater purpose in their lives. I’m a coach, writer and speaker with an unwavering belief that we are all created for greater purposes. I want to see those purposes activated in everyone!
I thoroughly enjoy coaching, but my most favorite adventure in life is being mom to my son. He is a hard-working, strong, gritty, creative, insightful, compassionate, and fun university student – and supporting his greater purposes truly is a rich adventure.
I love living in the beautiful state of Minnesota. Although I welcome every opportunity to travel, I spend most of my fun time with family and friends close by.
Christian Coaching Resources
In the professional Christian coaching community, I’m known as the author of The Complete Guide to Christian Coach Training, a unique resource that equips prospective Christian coaches with the information they need to make effective decisions about entering the profession and choosing a training program. I provide resources, coaching, consulting and mentoring to aspiring and new Christian coaches here on www.christiancoachingresources.com.
Greater Purpose Coaching
Things can be going very well in our work, ministries and life, but there are times we are ready for something new or different or greater. I offer Greater Purpose Coaching to help my clients clarify and take action on the exciting new endeavors they are considering next. Whether it’s recalibrating for greater balance or tackling a bigger vision or going deeper in relationship with God – I love supporting others as they move on to their next higher, greater purpose.
Because of my faith in Christ, I effectively partner with other believers who want to experience the benefits of coaching within a Christian context. However, I also welcome and enjoy working with clients who do not share my faith.
My Coach Training, Credentials and Experience
In 2003, I took my initial training courses and launched my coaching career and business. My coach-specific training and professional coach certifications come from three top coach training schools – Institute for Life Coach Training, Workplace Coach Institute and Professional Christian Coaching Institute. As an International Coach Federation (ICF) credentialed coach I am member of the ICF Mentor Coach Registry and provide mentor coaching to those pursuing an ICF ACC or PCC credential. My BA from Bethel University (MN) is in psychology and my post-graduate coursework at St. Cloud State University (MN) was in the MBA program.
Formerly, I worked in corporate human resources and college student development. My life experience also includes balancing family and career, living with physical limitations (I have lupus) and being raised in a pastor’s family.

I want to thank you for our weekly coaching sessions! I found that your approach was extremely helpful and yet very practical. Talking with you was like talking with a friend. I looked forward to our sessions each week because I knew I would be encouraged, equipped, and challenged. Linda, you have helped me to think through, write out, and better articulate my ministry goals. Thank you for being such a good listener, and for taking the time to pray with me each week. I now have a greater level of confidence in my leadership skills, and a greater sense of God’s peace for the future of the church that I lead.
Thank you so much for being a great coach during these past few months! It was a great experience all around for me and I learned a lot. I came to understand how graceful and affirming coaching can be. You made me feel heard and appreciated. The questions and the ways that you asked things were empowering and thought provoking. I will definitely recommend you to others who are interested in coaching! In addition to the great questions you asked, I felt so “believed in.” Thank you for empowering me in that way. Thank you for being a great coach, Linda!
